For the last two years, I have been working with one of the greatest chemical distributors in Atlanta. In this organization, we have had different types of leaders who portrayed different leadership styles. These styles include autocratic style. This is a "Do as I say" leadership style where employees are controlled without say at all levels, meaning it style of the past. However, this is to say that is not to say that the style may not be appropriate in certain situations.

Another evident leadership style is authoritative which is also known as visionary leadership. This is a “follow me” style only portrayed by confident leaders who map the way and set expectations, while engaging and energizing followers along the way. Autocratic leaders take the time to explain their thinking because they do not issue orders. Above all, these leaders allow employees choice and latitude on how to achieve common goals.
