The universalistic approach states that the best practices that are related to a wide range of human resource issues such as recruitment and selection, training and development and motivation of the employee are applicable to any organization regardless of the unique nature that the organization may have. Notably, the universalist approach has implications on strategic human resource management. They include improvement in performance levels, raising employee’s skill set and elimination of any deficiencies affecting the ability of employees to work effectively. Additionally, it enhances the presentation of employees to acquire skills that increase their versatility for transfers and the probability of beg promoted within the same firm.
