The government has come up with various laws and legislation through the criminal justice system for dealing with vulnerable groups such as LGBTQI community among others when they are victims of hate crimes.

• The police are at the front for helping the people and protect them and gain the confidence of the people through investigations and by application of national hate crime laws.

• Police are assisted by certain guidelines and an able investigation system that allows the practice of recording for all aspects of hate crime against LGBTI so that successful and fair hate crime prosecutions can be prepared and brought forward.

• The hate crime and other violence against LGBTI persons require a particular and specific approach that needs to be handled effectively.
