Demonstrative evidence is the kind that is designed to assist the trier of fact in helping to create the context for other evidence. Demonstrative evidence can include things like photographs, film recordings, or x-rays. Real evidence is also seen on television but is like an object. Real evidence can include the weapon used in a crime, for example, or a piece of jewelry that is the subject of a lawsuit.
