Nemo Plus iuris rule states that an individual cannot transfer more rights than they actually hold. For instance, an individual with the right to enjoy the use of a property cannot sell or transfer their rights of ownership of the property to another person. As such, the purchaser of possessions from an individual without any ownership right denies the purchaser any ownership title.
