The royal proclamation denied aristocrats such as Benjamin Franklin and George Washington the right to re-sell their vast lands. The proclamation also puts those who moved there away from any legal authority, they were out of the reach of creditors. individuals such as Daniel Boone moved to areas such as Plymouth to avoid creditors as they could not reach the area. The growing population made the call for unclaimed land unavoidable. Thus they had to resent the proclamation.
