Strategic human resource management is the approach of managing the human resource that supports long-term business goals and outcome with a policy framework (Bratton, 2012). This method on the human resource focuses on the long people issues, matching resources to future needs, and macro-concerns about quality, structure, values, culture and commitment to the human resource in a business firm. The human resource management revolves around the hiring of employees, discipline end payroll and how to interact with the employees to meet the benefits of the company (Bratton, 2012). The approach on the human resource and its management is a crucial factor in the functioning of the business which defines how the enterprise works and the output and also the future operation of the firm. The human resource management is a complex process that is constantly evolving due to the emerging trends in the human resource body. The article discusses factors on the current thinking and research in the area of human resource management.

The human resource management involves the management of the human resource in a particular company regarding their welfare and relations with the enterprise. It serves to fulfill the purpose of the employees working for the business (Bratton, 2012).. The benefits of the company will be determined by how the human resource will operate towards the firm. The nature of the human resources revolves around the relation between the business, company, and the suppliers. These parties form the basis of the existence of any business in which their absence means the failure of the enterprise.
The human resource is the heart of an organization. In its operations, it involves all the process that affect the people and their activities (Storey, 2014). There have been emerging trends in the human resource management, where trends in the management have been changing with time. In the recent past, the operations of the human resource have been operating by human effect while due to the developments and technological development, the activities have taken another way where technology is the basis of operations (Purce, 2014). All the activities in this sector are now operated technologically using machines which store the data and other analysis in the company. Human resource management involves some duties which among them are;

• Promotion and rewarding of workers
• Disciplining the workers
• Controlling the human resource and their operations
• Training of the workers
To start with, the biggest role is the one for recruiting new employees to the company. Companies need more employees depending on the production resources they have, for better output. This process of recruiting follows a particular procedure to ensure fairness and to make the process known to many (Purce, 2014). The company through its human resource department, ones it notices a need for more workers, evaluates the kind of people they need to look for. After a precise analysis of the vacant position, they put down duties and qualifications for the post before advertising it. Through every media that will reach the public, they advertise the position to allow applicants to apply for the job. The human resource sorts the applications for the post and short-list a group of the likely lot to qualify. The candidates called for an interview which involves same questions to all the candidates to ensure justice. Once they have gotten the candidate they need for the position, the human resource has the responsibility to train and orient the new worker on how the company works ensuring they state the terms and conditions of the enterprise operation (Purce, 2014).
After the employee has adapted to the operations of the business, the employee may require some promotion or rewarding. This is another role for the human resource. With the analysis that the department does on employees, they can determine who does what and who deserve an award or promotion (Bratton, 2012). Once noted, the human resource managers consult with the directors of the company on how the employee will be promoted. Promotions are of different kinds which may be the advancement from one position to another, an increase in the salary is given or being given a tangible price for a wok well done.
The human resource managers must also ensure that discipline is kept among the workers. In some situations, the disagreement may arise among the staffs of the company and conflict may follow. In some cases, there may be a misuse of the company`s resources by the workers. It’s the work of the human resource department to ensure that discipline is observed under all circumstances (Purce, 2014). Training of the employees determines the success of the business. The human resource department should provide for best courses to their staff to increase their morale and encourage teamwork. Training involves the familiarization of the employees on how things should be done for better results.
Synthesis of the findings
Human resource can be seen to be the heart of the operations in a company. It involves every part of a human resource in an enterprise. Through the technological development, the processes in business organizations have been enhanced more so in the human resource department. It is a clear indication that without control of the workers in a company, there are no benefits that can be realized (Purce, 2014). In their operations involving training, disciplining, recruiting and promotion of employees, the human resource can thus be considered the heart of company operations. Better human resource management, better results achieved.

With the improved technology and more knowledge by the people on how to handle the human resource, the business sector will improve the operations and outcome.
