This theory was initiated and promulgated by the colonial settlers in South Africa in the 19^th century. They did this basically to support their ideas towards seizing and owning the African land. In a nutshell, this theory has remained just a mere dream in the recent times simply because there are any historical evidence to back it up thus it has remained just a myth of the Empty Land.
