Canadian military personnel took part in Korean war as part of the UN force at the combat phase and afterwards peacekeeping. At the end of the war, Korea was the third bloodiest overseas conflict claiming 516 Canadians and leaving more than 1200 wounded.
It's involvement in the war made it's military very strong as the budget was increased to facilitate their participation in the war. At the end it saw them winning 3 military crosses and 4 military medals for gallantry. This brought their continuity as they build a strong military.
