After the rise of Benito Mussolini into power and who became first fascist Italy’s dictator, people (Anti-fascists) resisted his fascist actions of oppression where he banned their languages, closed their schools, and also made them change their names to sound more Italian. Anti-fascist forces were into existence to protect them from Italianization. These groups came to be known as Antifa which according to the activists was a movement dedicated to resisting all forms of oppression. They were also different groups that believed in non-plat forming as they protect their people. The activists took matters into their hands as they believed if they came together they were able to stop oppression and to them, violence made sense as a strategy. They believed that violence was protecting people and making people safe as this would make the government stop any form of oppression.
