How did European conflicts impact historical developments in North America between 1688 and 1763?
Long-standing power struggles in Europe began to affect the rest of the world in the sixteenth century, as European kings battled to control larger and larger colonial empires. England, France, and Spain fought four global wars involving their colonies in North America between 1688 and 1763. The North American colonies of all three monarchs were primarily puppets in the first three-King William's War (1689-1697), Queen Anne's War (1702-1713), and King George's War (1744-1748), but the conflicts did result in some modifications in the continent's colonial makeup.
