As we are all aware, there were a number of reasons for the increase in global migration between c. 1850 and 1940 such as war, search for employment and education reasons. We therefore conclude that studies are one of the reasons behind increased global migrations since people moved from different parts of the globe to seek higher quality education especially in developed countries like the USA, European countries, etc. Secondly, migration was brought about by the process of escaping hardship, conflict, especially from the regions where there was no peace. Employment is another reason behind the increased migration since people moved across the globe to seek employment opportunities especially to the industrialized countries to work as industrial workers.

We can also conclude that the increased migration was brought about by business reasons where by people had to travel across the globe in search of business partners.
