Explain why the First World War was a global conflict.
The first war can be considered a global conflict due to several reasons. Between 1914 to 1918, over 30 nations had been seen to declare war with other countries (Streets-Salter, 2017). Most of the nations joined the war by siding with their allies. A small conflict that started in southeast Europe developed to be a war between the European empires. The entry of Britain, as well as its empires, to this war, resulted in it being a global conflict. Moreover, this war did not just impact the Western countries but also impacted Asia, the Middle East, and the African countries.
