Ancient Greece was an advancement that controlled much of the Mediterranean thousands of years ago and made the base of much of Western culture these days. The ancient Greeks influenced everything from government, philosophy, mathematics, science, art, sports, and literature.

Ancient Greek civilization succeeded from the era following Mycenaean civilization that ended approximately 1200 BCE, to the demise of Alexander the Great, in 323 BCE. Through this time, Greek social impact had spread around the Mediterranean and, via Alexander the Great's crusade of subjugation, as far as India. The following are the outstanding achievements of ancient Greece.

• They were the first to undertake medicine's scientific and technical methodology by essentially learning diseases and human anatomy.
• Writers inscribed and created the first tragedies in open-air theatres.
• They developed the procedures of Geometry and mathematics.
