Period: Regency England. I am aware of the entailment of property, but is there any possible way, any exception where a son (firstborn or other) can be legally excluded from his father's Will? I need this for the plot of a story and I would like to be historically accurate, if possible. Thank you for answering.
In theory it is possible to disinherit ones adult son is possible. The basic rule in English law is that a testator cold leave the property, wealth or money to any person they wish. It is called ‘testamentary freedom.’
