The construction of the Kailasha Temple at Ellora was one of the best contributions of the Rashtrakuta Dynasty. This temple's architecture is still regarded as incredible in many areas of the world. The Rashtrakuta monarchs were avid supporters of art and literature. In the latter half of the ninth century AD, Krishna I constructed the magnificent rock-cut Kailasa temple at Ellora.
