The Cuban crisis was the greatest threat to the existence of the world especially the Central and Other American States. Although President Krushev and Kennedy navigated out of a nuclear war safely , these events passed a strong message to the countries concerned.
The most important message was that those countries should embrace multilateralism. During the crises the nations were divided along ideological lines such as capitalism and communism. This division enabled the US to contravene the Organization of American states policy against blockading a country generally referred to as an act of war. These events served as a message to the countries to strengthen multilateralism as it would help them wield of economic and militarily influence by developed states such as the USSR and USA . Also , strengthening their multilaterals would act as a show of force to any aggressor
