What country owned the least amount of land in North America?
North America is the third largest of the world’s continents. The continent lies between the Arctic Circle and the Tropical of Cancer. The continent covers an estimated area of 9,355,000 square miles. The continent is richly endowed with natural resources including vast forest, fresh water, fertile soil and great minerals, which attracted the European explores to explore the continent eventually colonizing it.
Great War broke in America which was fought by the colonies, mainly India and French colonies which resulted to treaty of Paris of 1976 which saw the culmination of the war. The treaty saw the colonies out of the North America. As time went North America become more powerful and sought for independence, these demands sparked war known as the American revelation. The colonial powers slowly surrendered the land they owned. But France still holds least amount of land in North America .The territory of Saint Pierre and Miquelon. The territory was acquired by French after several wars with Britain which had snatched it from French who owned it first.
