Economic Activities of Precolonial Southern African Communities
The economic activities practiced by Southern African communities in the North-Western of Southern African were majorly hunting and gathering. This is because the area had Savannah grassland, which was full of wild animals. However, the communities around this region began keeping livestock and farming. Farming became an option since the food from the bush was not enough. They were, therefore, looking for a surplus source of food.
