Here is a statue of David by Michelangelo. What is the relationship of this work of art to metamorphism? Would you rather have a tombstone carved out of marble or quartzite? Which is more susceptible to acid rain and why?

The statue is made of metamorphic rock called marble. I would not like to have a tombstone. However, the calcite in marble dissolves in acid rain, while quartzite us a very endurable material, although it is quite hard for making statues.
