The Beans Company decides to implement initiatives as a way of undertaking corporate social responsibility, which five external communication tools would you as a public relations director of the company, advice the company to use when sharing CSR initiatives with the public. (motivate your choice of the communication tools)

There are four main programmes in which a company can undertake corporate social responsibility: philanthropy, social, environmental and integrated CSR. The stakeholders of The Beans Company raised various concerns pertaining to how the company operations its business. As a public relations director at The Beans Company, answer the following questions:

1. Identify two major concerns raised by the stakeholders.

2. Mention two CSR programmes that can help to deal with the concerns raised by the stakeholders, and explain why the programmes will be beneficial to the stakeholders.

Stakeholder engagement is important because companies like The Beans Company, should not assume that they understand thr needs of the society and how to help them. Evidently, The Beans Company does not meaningfully engage its stakeholders. In your capacity, as the public relations director of the Beans Company, answer the following questions:

1. With suitable examples, identify five important stakeholders of The Beans Company.

2. Propose and describe five stakeholder engagement methods that The Beans Company should employ to create and nurture relations with its stakeholders.

According to Carrol and BuchholtzF (2015: 32) "corporate social responsibility encompasses the economic, legal (laws), ethical and philanthropic expectations that society has of organisations at a given in time". Evaluate the Beans company's performance in the following areas:

1. Contribution to economic development.

2. Improving the quality of life of the employees.

3. Improving the quality of life of the community and society (Philanthropic expectations).

4. Meeting its legal obligations.
