I will use my childhood experiences of stories to teach storytelling during the teaching practice time by finding ways to connect with the audience in different ways. For example, I enjoyed stories that were told by a person who emphasized on facial expressions to demonstrate concepts such as a character’s feelings. Moreover, I will incorporate vocal expressions to imitate a character. For example, I will use a soft voice when imitating a female character and a hoarse voice for male personalities. Finally, I will use expressive words to emphasize some ideas or philosophies linked to the story. Overall, the elements above help children connect with the educator and the story when told from a logical and emotional point of view.
