The statement that all children do not develop at the same rate or at the same age is true. Although all children undergo similar phases in the same order, they do it at variable rates since each aspect, that is, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional, has its individual developmental rate. Therefore, one child may be good at sharing, which entails social development than another domain. However, he or she may have less advanced motor skills that entail physical growth.
