A caregiver is not supposed to punish or scold a toddler if the toddler bites another child. This is a teething stage, and the toddler should be trained slowly so as not to continue biting other children. For instance, the toddler should be handed something cold to chew, thus keeping the toddler’s moth busy. Also, the caregiver is expected not to label the toddler as bitter or bit the toddler back. Instead, the toddler should be shown love and given toys to bide and play with.
