Oral language
Even though wordless pictures are always dismissed because they appear to be simple to understand, the truth is that they are important in helping a child develop their oral language. Children always ask questions of certain aspects in a picture, and this improves their oral language. By answering a child’s questions, it increases their understanding.
Comprehension
As there are always no words to rely on, these pictures help in developing comprehension because one needs to understand what the picture means. In addition, the reader has to figure the meaning of certain picture by using the illustrations given.
