7.1The student will consider the impact of personal choices on one's health and well-being. The necessity of accepting responsibility for one's actions; c) the application of resistance skills to avoid violence, gangs, guns, and drugs; and d) the identification and avoidance of risk-taking behaviors are some of the key concepts/skills.
7.2The student will research and analyze the many aspects that influence people's health and wellness decisions. The variety of advertising strategies used to influence adolescents' decisions, the veracity of information from various sources, and family behaviors and customs are all important concepts and skills.
7.3The student will analyze and interpret how health information, products, and organizations target teenagers. A personal method for evaluating the appropriateness of print, audiovisual, and electronic media images; b) the impact of diverse media resources on personal decisions; and c) consumer rights connected to health products and services are among the key concepts/skills. Students will be able to distinguish between beneficial and harmful influences. Examining media and peer pressure impacts that may encourage dangerous conduct.
