Scientific research has much of its knowledge obtained from experience, authority, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, scientific means. Personal experience is one way of gaining scientific research. However, the main limitation is that the extent of knowledge is limited because two people cannot have the same experience of knowledge.

Authority is relying on someone who has specialized in the field that one is researching about. The person in authority must have specialized in a filed and have all the necessary information that a researcher might need. The researcher get knowledge from asking questions.

Inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning is based on systematic approach that involves arguments based on the premises on which they are formed. Both of the reasoning makes a person to arrange the premises into patterns that leads to a conclusive conclusion that is true.
