How will PLCs not improve financial accountability and governance in school?
PLCs may not improve governance and financial accountability in school in various ways.
Teachers and the accounting officer have been granted extensive autonomy, but may get buy-in, or lack time for PLCs in a busy working environment. This reduces governance effectiveness as well as accountability of the institution.
PLCs are comprehensive, and improper implementation is likely on the part of either administrators or teachers. This may lead to failing to embrace core features of PLCs such as collaboration, resulting in poor governance and lessened accountability.
