A. Determine what principle/s in writing is/are being violated.
B. Rewrite the sentences.
together.
It's a good practice to start with the sentence structure here. The subject is not close to its verb at all! It seems to be a run-on sentence already, but its biggest flaw is not being broken apart where one thought ends and another begins. This could have been corrected by adding conjunctions between each idea in the sentence or rearranging them into an ABAB format.
Communication Principles: Where there is no modifier between the subject and verb and a comma is being used to separate the subjects, then either separate them with a semicolon or, if they are far enough away from each other, a coordinating conjunction. In this case, since "like" and "there" are far away from each other (separated by a letter), we are more inclined to use a comma for separation. However, the introductory preposition "in" indicates that we should use the semicolon over the comma.
Sentence 1 is passive. The students enjoy is an adjective clause that modifies the noun classroom activities. Rewrite it by placing the students first: The students enjoy classroom activities by collaborating.
