Banking education as described by Freire is a form of education with the teacher as the subject (active participant) while he students are the passive objects. Banking education leads to lack of critical thinking since the the students have to accept the words of the teachers as the unquestionable truth making them have no scope of cognitive skills to criticize the information presented to them. The minds of the students do not broaden and they do not think beyond what the teacher subjected to them. This is why students of such caliber do not have any views regarding the projects they are undertaking because they do not have the ability to creatively think and provide their own perspectives or refutable facts about the project being undertaken.
