Question #310535

The topic of resources forms and integrated part over many learning areas, but is discussed in more detail in the NST class. Compare ‘renewable’ and ‘non-renewable’ energy resources in your own words and give an example of each.

Expert's answer

Resources that do not undergo depletion after continuous use are renewable. Their characteristics are the emission of low carbon and a low carbon footprint. They include tidal, sun, and wind energy. Contrary, the resources that undergo depletion and are irreplaceable immediately are non-renewable. The characteristics of these resources are higher carbon emissions and a higher carbon footprint. They include fossil fuel resources such as petroleum, coal, and natural gas.
