What are the reasons for poor lessons deliverance.. briefly explain them
a) Explicit knowledge goals is one reason for poor lesson deliverance. It's a dilemma between what the teacher wants the students to know by the end of the lesson. It is hard to secure knowledge and understanding if tasks and general headings are considered. The more precise a teacher is, the sharper they can be in delivering lessons to students.
b) Information for students about what they must learn. It is hard for a teacher to decide what students have to base their learning on, and when these things are missing, then it means we are cutting down the student's capacity to learn and study.
c) Weaker explanations offered by a teacher limits the student's understanding of the subject matter or the lesson. The explanation needs not to be too thin, too short, or too hurried leaving the students with much uncertainty.
d) The teacher should be in a position to use a lot of worked examples and explore what is common or different among the examples. Worked examples exposes the students to a lot of learning from the way the examples are used to solve problems whether it is maths, geography, physics, or artwork. It leads to elaborate understanding by students.
e) Not checking whether the students have understood the lesson also promotes poor lesson deliverance since in a class there must be students who have not gained clarity or understood the lesson. Therefore, if the teacher does not check then the students will go home without understanding anything.
