Pre-reading enables an EFAL learner to become accustomed accustomed with English and to familiarize themselves with English. Secondly, pre-reading helps the EFAL learners to have guidance of what the language looks like and devise appropriate strategies for learning. Post-reading helps the learner to identify important points and what the message the subject matter is trying to drive home. Post-reading makes the learner to summarize the whole reading and to reflect on what the topic is all about. Skimming helps a learner to focus on the main ideas of the topic and to determine if their conclusion of the topic is justified. The learner comes to this final decision after pre-reading, post reading, and skimming is done, which gives the learner a general point or summary of what the subject matter or topic was talking about. Giving a person time to reminisce what he has read makes him have a better understanding after looking the topic from different perspectives. Therefore, it is hard to argue with one who performs pre-reading, post reading and skimming because they have already exhausted all the points in a topic before giving their final verdict, which makes the EFAL learners to quickly understand the poem they are reading faster than anyone else.
