2.1) The poem is a descriptive poem for the writer uses figurative language that creates images and feelings which extract a sensory experience in the reader’s mind. The poem contains firstly, the subject, who the story being told resolves around them. Secondly, Descriptive imagery feature and figure of speech feature, where the language used invoke the human senses; taste, smell, sound, and feelings. Second, the figure of speech brings life to the words of the writer, awakening interest in the readers.

In the discussion with my students, I would explain the meaning of the poem. “ Letters on the page worlds created in my mind I live many lives” means a reader enters the realm of the character and experiences their lives, put themselves in their shoes which in turn develops empathy in a reader. The reader gets to live as different people and gets to see how everyone views the world differently.

2.2) this type of poem enables students to learn new concepts, develops their memory, and helps them come up with new information or ideas. It invokes strong creative ability that will be of help in the future since anything that needs interpretation and coming up with something new, imagination is an important factor.
