Position Paper

Dear esteemed elders of the community, I would like to stress that our involvement in the fundraising concerts for the street children in the city will not interfere with our studies. Civic duty is part of community involvement. Therefore, it about doing things because we want to help others or give back to our communities. Generally, what teenagers do for their communities makes no difference. Any participation is beneficial since they reap several personal benefits and emotions of accomplishment when they participate in community activities and volunteer.

First, we will likely meet like-minded peers and positive adult role models other than our parents by getting active in community activities. Teenagers are encouraged to perceive the world in new ways by interacting and cooperating with other adults and peers in community organizations. Additionally, it teaches people how to put their ideas or beliefs into action for the greater benefit.

We will also be able to grow our sense of self and interact with others. Young people are preoccupied with determining who they are and where they belong in the world. Participating in community activities can provide the children with a healthy personality, a feeling of belonging in their community, and the chance to form new friendships and connections. Teenagers' self-confidence and self-esteem can be boosted through community activities. In a supportive setting, the child can learn to deal with problems, communicate with colleagues, and develop life skills.

Community activities allow youngsters to put their existing abilities to use. For example, we will be able to learn how to raise money and other critical thinking skills. Volunteering and participating in community events are also excellent ways to demonstrate initiative and enhance employment skills. An important life skill is the ability to manage free time while balancing leisure, work, and study. Participating in community events may encourage a youngster to become more organized and begin to manage their schedule. Therefore, we request to be allowed to participate in the initiative because we will gain.
