SPEAKER: I presume the speaker to be the author named. So far, we know him to be a doctoral candidate who researches moral decision-making and the self and the links between social interactions, cognition, self-esteem and technology.
OCCASION: The speaker wrote the piece following his motivation to understand the aspect of good in people.
AUDIENCE: The audience is the general public.
PURPOSE: To convince the audience that they are not inherently evil.
SUBJECT: The point is to provide insight into human nature, more so following the concepts of state of nature. As such, the article is concerned with helping people that they are not necessarily savages naturally.
Tone: The author takes a neutral tone.
