A volcano is a vent through which heated rock and gas escape from a magma chamber. Volcanoes differ in many features such as height, shape, and slope steepness. Some volcanoes are tall cones and others are just cracks in the ground. The main types of volcanoes include; cinder cones, composite volcanoes, shield volcanoes, and lava domes.

As a person who has knowledge on volcanoes, I would spread the following awareness to my community which will enable them to prepare for what might come in future;

Firstly, I will encourage them to listen for emergency information and alerts; secondly, I will ask them to follow evacuation or shelter orders. Thirdly, I would encourage them to avoid areas downstream of the eruption. I would also encourage them to equip themselves with a fireproof hazmat suit supplied with an oxygen mask backed up by a carbon-intake filter. Another way I would help them to prepare volcanoes is by advising them to protect themselves from falling ash and lastly I would encourage them to avoid driving in heavy ash fall.
