Therefore, this proposal aims to identify social challenges and effects that the mining industry has on the climate. Most mining sites have present serious problems in the local society due to geopolitical risks, overexploitation of resources, and safety issues. The supply chain in the industry is focused on the manufacturing industries that use raw materials from mining sites; however, at the bottom level of the supply chain, the people living around mining sites and other stakeholders at the lower chain face significant challenges. It is the fore important to address the issues to find a solution.
