PepsiCo, Inc. is an American corporation whose headquarters are in Harrison and deals with food, snacks and beverages. The business involves all aspects of food and beverage market. It oversees the manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of its products. It was founded in 1965 by Caleb Bradham from the merger of the Pepsi-Cola Company and Frito-Lay has since expanded from its namesake product Pepsi Cola to an immensely diversified range of food and beverage brands. Its original name was Brad’s drink which was Founded in 1893 before being renamed as PepsiCo in 1961 and belonged to the carbonated soft drink industry. It was based New Bern, North California

Strengths

It has built itself in the industry and developed some strengths that offer it a competitive edge such as; brand awareness, strong staff with expertise, high demand for products. The products it offers are well known and this makes it to spend less on advertisement as the products already are in high demand compared to the competitors. A strong team of staff places it at high position of innovation and keeping abreast with new technology and embracing it.

Weaknesses

Despite having stayed in the industry it still faces some challenges including and not limited to; unhealthy products, weak marketing strategies, contribution to environmental pollution.
