Show using theories of piaget, Vigotsky and Bruner how you could help your learners through scaffolding?
Scaffolding is an essential aspect of learning; it is used to break down learning into small structures. Students can independently perform tasks and be self-determined to handle problems. Burner’s theory speaks about scaffolding and suggests that children require support from parents and teachers to become independent; therefore, I will use this idea to develop a task that involves parents, teachers, and students’ involvement in learning. Piaget’s theory affirms that children do not have mental structures competent enough to handle problems and require support; in this case, I can establish classroom tasks that require my support as a teacher to enable students to become independent. Vygotsky also provides useful information about scaffolding; he suggests that learners can complete small and manageable work to be independent through collaboration with peers and teachers; therefore, I can develop tasks in the classroom that enable students’ collaboration to enhance independence.
