Discuss the major areas of distinction between Liberalism and Realism and cite relevant cases of application
While realism is used to show pessimism in international relations, liberalism is used to portray optimism and positivism in international relations and aspirations. In interstate relations, realism shows rivalry. Realists believe that peace may be reached through the balance of power if all governments aspire to grow their might without relying on any other country, whereas Liberalism believes that the greatest way to peace is through cooperation through intergovernmental institutions.
