Three perceptual motor abilities affecting academic learning are: hand-eye coordination, body-eye coordination and auditory language skills. Hand-eye coordination is the ability to connect the hand and eyes while writing. The child may not write well without this coordination. The body-eye coordination may also pose some difficulty in sitting still and listening while learning in class. The auditory language skills is meant to help the child to interact with others and learn a language. Failing to have this perceptual motor abilities could affect the child's learning of a language.
