As a manager, it will be my obligation to resolve the recurrent friction between employees, which frequently disrupts the team's equilibrium. At work, conflict resolution is a daily occurrence that can either accelerate or derail a leader's, a team, or the entire organization's momentum. When leaders allow disagreement to fester rather than confront it head-on, the workplace can become a toxic environment. I'll speak with the individuals and ask them to suggest a time when it would be convenient to meet. I'll meet them somewhere quiet where I won't be disturbed.
I'll concentrate on actions and events rather than people. Instead of saying "When you do...", I'll say "When this happens..." and describe a specific incident or event rather than generalizing. In addition, I'll outline the areas of agreement and disagreement, ask the other people if they agree with your evaluation, then adjust my assessment until both of you agree on the areas of contention.
