“The truth of a statement can be empirically tested”, explain what is meant by that statement
Empirical testing is a method of research that uses experience as well as indirect and direct observation. Statements can either be false or true. Hence, the assumption that something is the case or not is a statement. The truth of a statement is tested by using indirect and direct observation as well as experience. For example, claiming that ‘Guns have resulted in many deaths in the US’ is false if it does not represent what has happened. But in this case, it is true since there are many observations of deaths due to gun violence.
