Answer to Question #243724 in English for Nhlex

Question #243724

Some parents in your village are not satisfied with the way in which you are teaching writing skills to

the learners. They want to organise a march with placards with your name written on them. They

called for your dismissal unless you promise them that you would look at the matter and improve

their children’s writing skills.

How will you modify five purposes of writing in your Grade 3 class to improve their writing skills?

  1. To educate. The goal of writing to inform is to disseminate facts and other data. Reports and other informational texts make claims that are backed up by facts and reliable proof.
  2. Explaining. The goal of explaining writing is to convey what, how, and why about a subject. Explaining how to do or produce anything in writing is an example.
  3. Storytelling. Telling a tale is the goal of narrator writing. It doesn't matter if the tale is accurate or not. A beginning, middle, and end are standard features of narrative composition. Storytelling and personal tales are two examples.
  4. To convince. Persuasive writing expresses a viewpoint or objective and backs it up with reasoning and supporting information to persuade the audience to agree, act, or both—the emphasis switches to debate in Grade 3.
  5. To analyze. Tries to comprehend and interpret difficult-to-understand or-to-explain events.
