What, in your opinion, would be the best way or idea to avoid the negative impact of NAFTA on the United States, Mexico, and Canada? Briefly explain the situation.
The formation of NAFTA in 1994 was focused on boosting trade, eliminating barriers, and reducing tariffs on exports and imports among three nations, the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. However, the economic integration has led to various negative effects among the participating countries and others. For instance, there are claims that NAFTA has led to factory closures, trade deficits, loss of jobs in the U.S. In my opinion, these negative impacts could be avoided through mutual agreements and considering other stakeholders to establish amicable decisions that could heighten the trade mutuality.
