1. Conflicts are common in schools just like in all the places where people meet with an aim of working together (Lasarati & Raharja, 2020). The school setting is such that it has teachers and students who relate on different capacities. There are responsibilities and leadership positions also in schools and this is the reasons why school heads are considered managers. Some of the common sources of conflicts in schools include limited resources, poor communication, and overlapping roles (Onyali & Nnebedum, 2020).
2. Interpersonal relationships are important among the staff since they define the nature of the relationships that they have with each other (Onyali & Nnebedum, 2020). Good interpersonal relationships ensure that there is a peaceful environment that enables the achievement of goals and objectives by the staff. It also assist in effective communication between staff members which is key for organizational success.
3. The first step towards solving any conflict is accepting that it exists and it needs to be solved. The next step will therefore be to engage the conflicting parties in peaceful dialogues where the root cause of the conflict will be established (Lasarati & Raharja, 2020). The other step will be to find an agreement or a lasting solution and provide guidance to the staff members and avoid a repeat of the same.
