“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not”. The desire to become a VOF correspondent stems from the belief that "things may be better." Each of us hails from a different country, has lived through a variety of events, and has many stories to tell. Nonetheless, we all have three characteristics: 1. We are all victims; 2. We are all survivors; and 3. Our future dreams are all the same — we all want peace, gender equality, no violence, and respect for all. The Lorax taught me something extremely important: unless you are willing to look for ways to make your goals a reality, you will always be trapped wondering and whining about what could be, rather than completing your dream and experiencing "what is." I know what my dream is, so I'm going to look for any and all opportunities to make it a reality. One of the numerous paths I'm exploring is becoming a VOF correspondent; another is launching Saving Angel; another is organizing and promoting humanitarian events; and yet another is speaking out at seminars and workshops.
