Practising cultural humility in day-to-day government activities in the community: this includes understanding dimensions of diversity and how to work within diverse community contexts while designing community programs. It also includes recognizing and articulating power and culture dynamics within communities in which they work.
.Designing culturally-situated community programs: the government should design programs that improve community health and wellbeing but focus more on communities rather than programs and are appropriate for diverse cultures and populations.
.Recognizing and celebrating important events or festivals for each cultural or ethnic group in the community: such intervention programs will encourage a diversity spirit and enable community members to learn about other different cultures and develop meaningful relationships with other community members.
.Government officials in communities can work with members of marginalized groups in the community, conduct participatory action research and provide tools for empowerment and self-directed change so as to challenge oppression.
.By conducting community-based participatory research: through such research, the government can explore experiences while empowering members of a community with varying levels of ability or disability.
.Collaborating with organizations in the community such as religious organizations, cultural groups or organizations etc. and embedding interventions into these settings: it will have positive impact on individuals in the community.
