Talkative classrooms are very crucial as they enable a teacher to understand learners well since when they speak their mind, he/she finds out their weaknesses, strengths, and areas that need help. There are many ways which a teacher can use to help his/her class to talk for example through asking them questions, forming students'-led forums and engaging in tactical body languages that can get the learners to start talking. Other benefits of learners talk in the classroom include;

Learners are able to explore ideas better.

Learners’ reasoning is developed and organized.

Students are able to learn more.

The use learners talk by teachers as learning and teaching strategy also have challenges. Some of the challenges that students may face to stop them from being talkative include Grammar and vocabulary problems. To overcome this, the teacher needs to help them in grammar and vocabulary so as to develop their conversational skills and managing rapid communication. Other challenges include, lack of accuracy and fluency and colloquial speech and Contracted forms challenges
